NATIONAL IDENTITY CARD

Algerian national identity cards are no longer delivered by the Embassy.

Algerian citizens wishing to apply for a national identity card must have a biometric passport.

To apply for the biometric identity card, applicants need to go to the ” Ministére de l’interieur et des collectivités locales” website, click on ” Carte d’identité biometrique” and follow the prompts.

The Identity cards will be sent to the Embassy .

The Embassy will contact the applicants when the ID cards are received
